- The MitMat Foundation II is a 12 mm version of The Foundation Mat. They come in a pair of 2 pieces, each measuring 6 x 7 inches. The doubling in thickness has a measurable affect on resonances (200 Hz and higher) and an audible sonic benefit compared to the 6 mm Mat. As well, it is better suited for truly heavy components.
